We welcome you with open arms and warm Italian hospitality! At The Badali we’re committed to “superior hospitality” in fact that’s our mission. We, the management team here at The Badali, represent a committed group of employees who are dedicated to our guest’s total enjoyment. We’re not a big impersonal chain but an independent restaurant that believes in the power of hospitality and relationships. Please contact any of us directly if we can be of any assistance what-so-ever. We look forward to hearing from you.
From the Horn of Africa to a table near you; once an Ethiopian prince, Wube now rules over the Republic of The Badali with an iron fist and a bleeding heart. As General Manager, Wube ensures no stone is left unturned and no customer is left without a full belly and a beaming smile.
Joshua has worked in many acclaimed restaurants throughout the world, and has gained the talent and the understanding required to run a professional kitchen brigade. He has a weakness for Heavy Metal music which he inflicts on his kitchen crew. They love working for him all the same.
Chef de Cuisine
Originally from South Korea, we are proud to introduce you to our Chef de Cuisine Woo. With past experiences in many fine dining establishments, and a stint as an Executive Sous with the U.S. Army base in his native homeland. Woo will certainly keep us organized and make sure “the trains run on time”.
Assistant General Manager
Tamara organizes many of the restaurant's wine features and special promotions without a hitch. She has millions of things running through her head at any one time, but miraculously, never fails to perfectly cater to the guest’s various needs and the unrelenting demands of her staff.
As adept on the restaurant floor as he is on the baseball diamond, front of house manager Doug is an affable fellow who is loved by both the tables we serve and the staff he assists.
Assistant to the General Manager
Brittany is our event planner responsible for all group bookings and corporate receptions. She frequents the hippest of restaurants and bars about town and we rely on her to tell us when we are acting out of touch and are in danger of losing our hipster image.
An avid reader and aspiring writer, he is the perfect bartender companion. With his love of all things Blue Jays, Arsenal FC, and his unrelenting curiosity, he is the perfect person with whom a guest can trade opinions on current events and sports.
Part time Manager
Not many people can juggle being a new father, a teacher and a restaurant manager all at once. Bobby does just that and more, maintaining the same calm demeanour he employed as a semi-pro soccer player regardless of what’s thrown his way.
Part Time Manager
Yaseen is a guest focused service professional with many years of experience under his belt in both casual family dining and in more formal settings. You will find him ensuring our service team and kitchen brigade are offering you their very best each and every meal period.

The Badali is a large, high-energy restaurant with many interesting and comfortable rooms and seating areas. Whether it’s an intimate celebration for 2 or a raucous Business Dinner for 20 or more, we can accommodate every mood and occasion.
We’ve recently renovated the Bar and we’re thrilled with how it turned out. New lighting, bar top, and comfortable seating all enhance our artisanal cocktails, craft beers, Italian and local wine offerings. Great for watching sports, cocktail hour with DJ Michael Williams spinning tunes, or a nice selection of small plate food offerings.
Front Street Lounge
Another great high-energy spot for lunch, dinner, or drinks.
